Peak Training™ CD-ROM 4.8.1

1.

Locate the My Computer Icon on your desktop and double-click it.

2.

Within My Computer look for the C: Drive (This may or may not have a label).  Double-click on it to explore the C: drive.

3.

Explore to the Windows director and double-click on it.

4.

When this happens, there may be files shown and there may not.  If there are no files, look for the words "SHOW FILES" in blue letters; usually they are along the left side and sometimes on the top.  Click the Show Files link to view the files in the Windows Folder.  Look for the files labeled Summit.ini and SummitData.mdb and delete them.  These files may or may not have the three letters after the period.  Also there may be a third file that reads SummitData as well; this one can be deleted as well.

5.

Once the files have been deleted, press the back button to return to the C: drive.

6.

Look for the Program Files Folder.  Double-click on it to open.

7.

Once in the Program Files folder, find a folder labeled Peak32 and delete it.  Close all windows.

8.

Next, go the the Start button, then Settings, then Control Panel.

9.

Within Control Panel, find the Icon labeled ODBC Data Sources (32bit) and double-click.  Note:  With some operating systems this icon may be in another folder labeled Administrative Tools.

10.

Once inside ODBC, select the System DSN tab, highlight Peak Training Records, then select remove.  If Peak Training Records is not listed, check the User DSN tab.  Once the Records are gone, exit out of ODBC by selecting OK.

11.

Go to the Start Button again and select Run from the menu.

12.

Type in regedit in the run box, then select OK.

13.
The next window shows the Registry Editor Utility.  There will be a selection of folders under the My Computer Icon.  Expand (by clicking the +) the folder labeled HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.  Then expand the Software Folder and find the key (folder) labeled Summit and delete it.  Next delete the Summit Training Source key.

14. When you have completed the above, reboot the machine.  You are now ready to reload the Peak Training Software.
