A Giant Leap for Safety

This past November, the final rule prohibiting interstate truck and bus drivers from using hand-held cell phones while operating their vehicles was announced by U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, quoting, ”When drivers of large trucks, buses and hazardous materials take their eyes off the road for even a few seconds, the outcome can be deadly. I hope that this rule will save lives by helping commercial drivers stay laser-focused on safety at all times while behind the wheel.”

New Year’s Resolution: Stay Safe!

Summit’s New Year’s Resolution is to continue to do our best in keeping people safe on and off the job. To start off the New Year, we want to make sure that preparations are taken this weekend to stay safe while celebrating the New Year. Here are some tips:

Decide Who’s Driving – DO NOT drink and drive. Designate a driver before having that first drink. If you don’t have a DD, use public transport or spend the night at a friend’s place.
